UNION, Mo. (KMOX) - A former sixth grade teacher at a Union elementary school has been sentenced to five years of probation for sexually assaulting a woman after a night of drinking.
31-year-old Matthew Rogers, who had his sentencing moved from Franklin County to Osage County, must also avoid alcohol during the probationary period.
Rogers pleaded guilty in February to one count of conspiring to commit sexual assault. A deviate sexual assault charge was dropped.
Rogers and former physical education teacher and coach Brad Julius were charged in the 2011 attack. Julius is also serving five years of probation after being found guilty in August.
