VILLA RIDGE, Mo. (KMOX) – Two people are dead after a Saturday night crash in Franklin County.
The accident happened around seven o’clock… when a car turning from Highway 100 onto Highway M was hit by another vehicle. Two people in the backseat of the turning car— 56-year-old Mitchell Mantels of Villa Ridge & 46-year-old Tarlton Stephens of Villa Ridge— were killed. A passenger was hospitalized in serious condition.
The driver, 36-year-old Joshua McFerrin of St. Clair, was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving. He was taken to the hospital for treatment… and ran from the emergency room. He has not been recaptured.
