FRANKLIN COUNTY, Mo. (KMOX) — Search and rescue crews have found both Franklin County children missing for about 13 hours. 11-year-old Scotty Warner and 13-year-old Erica Linsey disappeared Wednesday at 9:45 p.m.
After searching all morning police found Scotty near a wooded area close to his home. He then led Sheriff deputies to Erica, who was hiding under a porch.
Franklin County Sheriff Gary Toelke says Scotty is telling police Erica got in to an argument with her sister possible prompting her disappearance.
Both children appear to be OK.

FRANKLIN COUNTY, Mo. (KMOX) — The Franklin County boy who has been missing since last night has been found. Franklin County Sheriff Gary Toelke says Scotty Warner is currently showing police where 13-year-old Erica Linsey is.
“I think he left her in a field down by the river somewhere,” Toelke told KMOX.
He says Warner appears fine and there’s no indication Erica was hurt. Toelke says Erica got in to an argument with her sister last night possibly prompting her disappearance.
Both friends went missing around 9:45 p.m. Wednesday. Parents say they were played outside a home on White Road.

FRANKLIN COUNTY, Mo. (KMOX) — Fire, search teams, and Sheriff’s Deputies are searching for two missing children in the St. Clair area of Franklin County, Mo. The children are identified as Scotty Warner, age 11, and Erica Linsey, age 13. (Pictured left)
Both children are friends who live near one another in a remote area of White Road south of St. Clair. Family members tell police the children were last seen playing outside around 9:45 p.m. Wednesday.
Officials say around midnight a cell phone that belonged to Scotty was used to access the internet, near where the two went missing. It now appears that the phone has been turned off or the battery died.
Franklin County Sheriff Gary Toelke says the children went missing in a heavily wooded area that contains lots of mine shafts and caves near the Meramec River.
“The parents say he (Scotty) is in the woods a lot, goes down to the river, but they said he is scared to death at night,” Toelke told KMOX. “The parents said there is a BB pistol that’s missing that he sometimes takes with him when he goes out into the woods.”
Erica was last seen wearing a blue Angry Birds T-shirt and a Camouflage ball cap with shorts. Scotty, who also goes by the name “Ross” was wearing plaid shorts and no shirt. They were wearing Nike and Puma Shoes.
Authorities are requesting anyone who may see or have had contact with the children is requested to contact the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office at 636-583-2560. Callers can remain anonymous if requested.
Toelke says it’s too soon to know if foul play may be involved.
A command post has been established at St. Clair Fire House 3 on Hwy K South of St. Clair.
